UConn ECE Marine Science Symposium All Day
UConn ECE Marine Science Symposium
Monday, May 13th, 2024
All Day
UConn Avery Point
The UConn ECE Marine Sciences Symposium celebrates the academic achievement of students throughout their UConn ECE Marine Sciences courses. Held annually at UConn Avery Point, UConn ECE Students from across the state submit posters focusing on the research and learning they have completed throughout their course. The Symposium is a day-long event.
In morning sessions, UConn ECE Students present their findings to their UConn ECE peers, other course Instructors, and students and faculty within the Marine Sciences Department. During afternoon sessions, Students attend presentations conducted by UConn Marine Sciences Master’s and Ph.D. candidates as well as sessions led by department faculty. Students and Instructors also have the opportunity to tour the facilities of the Marine Sciences Department and meet undergraduate and graduate students and faculty.
The Symposium evolved out of the desire to share student learning to audiences outside of their classrooms. In this way, the annual Marine Sciences Symposium is an exemplar of the collegial relationship UConn ECE works to forge between our Students, Instructors, and Faculty Coordinators.
